Did you know the term “prepper” and those that tie into the term are now on the potential terrorist list for the FBI. Yes, that’s right; you can be listed on their watch list simply for being what is called a prepper.
What was once a simple Boy Scout motto is now grounds for a potential investigation towards all your intentions? The phrase “be prepared” I guess now has blown up into something that is somehow negative.
According to an exclusive report from the Oath Keepers, “An FBI Denver Joint Terrorism Task Force handout being distributed to Colorado military surplus store owners lists the purchase of popular preparedness items and firearms accessories as ‘suspicious’ and ‘potential indicators of terrorist activities”.
Store owners are being asked to “tip off” FBI agents when any individual is found storing large amounts of food or ammunition and paying with legal tender.
What has our country come to, when a man simply wanting to be prepared can be seen as a potential terrorist? The world is full of bad people, this I understand, but can we allow such an invasion of privacy, that a man can’t go and stock up on groceries without being placed on a watch list?
What if an individual simply doesn’t like going into town every month and likes to hunt? Can he not buy enough at one time to last several months? I guess not anymore, huh?
Perhaps we should all ask ourselves this question. Has the fear that has been caused by a few bad men caused us to believe that the constitution of our great country needs to be revised?–I don’t think so.
Should we allow the infringement of our private liberties to be allowed for the illusion of personal safety?
You be the judge.
