Sometimes life can present all of us an unexpected scenario such as facing a new health concern or a financial problem. In times of crisis, the last thing we want to worry about is giving up the part of our lives that makes us feel complete – the part of our lives that brings us joy and unconditional love…our pets.
Thankful Paws, Inc. is a new organization dedicated to helping people keep their pets! Thankful Paws provides dog and cat food to seniors, disabled people as well as our veterans – including those with service dogs. Lynn Molnar, President of Thankful Paws, Inc. started the organization just a few months ago and has already helped hundreds of families throughout Baltimore and Harford Counties as well as Baltimore City. The concept was birthed out of Lynn’s own personal struggles a few years ago. She was unexpectedly faced with several large medical and tuition bills and even though she had a full time job – money was tight. She began to explore resources for her and her furry family of four. She discovered that food banks, although a great resource for her – was not able to provide food for her pets. Lynn, like many other pet owners would prefer to feed her pets before filling her own needs, and thus a food bank for pets was born!
Our families are all diverse, when a new baby joins a family – everything seems right in the world. Smiles, laughter and hope fill our homes again. The excitement and promise of a new life fills our hearts with love. Many times, it is the same when we adopt a new dog or cat. Dogs and cats can bring such warmth, love and companionship into a home. If you ever had a pet, even as a child, you still remember how you felt when you could cuddle up together. No matter how long ago it was, you still remember your first puppy – you still remember holding a new kitten in the palm of your hand. Even if you were all alone – your pet remained faithful to you and that emotional bond will never decrease – no matter how much time passes.
There is no need to abandon a pet – or find a new home for your faithful companion just because of money. Contact Lynn at 443-528-3637 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org she will help you. The company website is www.thankfulpaws.org and has an on-line request form for provisions, as well as opportunities to send donations electronically through PayPal.
Thankful Paws also welcomes volunteers of any age. As a newly formed corporation we recognize people of all professions bring understanding, have valuable insights and experiences that are extremely important to a new company’s success. Please consider volunteering your time to help those in your own community.
Undoubtedly, these are troubling times. Everywhere we look – poverty, crime, disease – but there is hope. Lynn Molnar believes in God and people. Everyone has something to share – whether it is just a smile – everyone can do something. As a little girl, Lynn’s grandmother gave her a birthday card, with the poem written by Helen Steiner Rice, Brighten the Corner Where You Are. Lynn has never forgotten her grandmother’s compassion for people or the life lessons she taught. That birthday card sparked a new relationship between not only Lynn and her grandmother, but also between a young Lynn and the way she sees the world. As the poem concludes “…So do not sit and idly wish for wider, new dimensions, Where you can put in practice your many good intentions. But at the spot God placed you, begin at once to do, Little things to brighten up the lives surrounding you. If everybody brightened up the spot where they’re standing, By being more considerate and a little less demanding, This dark old world would very soon eclipse the evening star. If everybody brightened up the corner where they are!”
