On Saturday April 28th, local Orlando band The Crazy Carls have a CD release show at the House of Blues in Orlando. Joining them on the bill for this FREE all ages show are local Orlando bands Essence D’ame and First Hit as well as the Jacksonville band Sidereal.
“Purple Passion is a CD that defines my sound,” said vocalist/guitarist Alex Baugh. “It’s unique, modern and very fun. High energy, guitar based dance songs are all over the CD. I love all the songs, but I named the CD Purple Passion because that song helped the direction of my songwriting for this EP.”
The Crazy Carls are an incredibly fun band to see live. On stage Baugh is a bundle of energy moving along with the band’s up tempo Reggae infused Dance Rock music with a warm groove.
Fresh off recent appearances at the 2012 Florida Music Festival (FMF) and WPRK’s Local Heroes radio program, The Crazy Carls are planning some special surprises for this show. “The FMF show was a blast,” said Baugh. “The crowd was great and we really enjoyed it.”
The seven song EP, Purple Passion, is available for preorder on the band’s Bandcamp page.
The band, Alex Baugh (vocals/guitar), Mike Roosa (synth/keys), Nick Lucera (bass), and Donald Joseph (drums), originally started off in Miami, but now call Orlando home. Music fans can check out the local Orlando band on their official site, FaceBook page, You Tube channel, and Twitter feed.
The House of Blues show is FREE, but tickets are needed and are available from the bands playing the show.
