The annual White House Easter Egg Roll was held yesterday, April 9 on the South Lawn and the Obama women stepped out in style wearing the trend of the season, color. Michelle Obama and daughters Sasha and Malia were dressed for spring wearing bright and bold colors for the Easter tradition, which dates back to 1814.
This spring, the trend is bold and beautiful color. The First Lady has been acclaimed for her impeccable style and is always on the cutting edge of fashion. The Obama females tend to compliment each other’s look within the same palette for public appearances without being doll-like replicas of one another. Introduced as the “Powerhouse” of The White House by President Obama, Michelle was clad in purple Capri pants, red tee shirt, canary yellow cardigan and “comfortable” pale aqua flats. Sasha looked like a little rock star in a multi-colored splash on white blouse under a royal blue with black trim blazer atop lime green pants and orange sneakers while Malia was slightly more conservative in an orange long sleeve tee, aqua skinny jeans and sandals for the Easter Egg Roll hosted by the First Family.
The First Family fashions are easily replicated at affordable clothing stores for women and children such as Marshalls, Old Navy and The Gap. On Long Island, Marshalls can be found in East Meadow, Elmont, Freeport, Lawrence and Oceanside. Old Navy is in Hempstead, New Hyde Park, Valley Stream and Westbury and The Gap is located in Garden City, Manhasset, Merrick and Plainview.
