“The Walking Dead” creators have promised the character of Michonne for some time now and last night in the midst of the walker invasion, she showed up. She not only showed up, but got there just in time to save Andrea’s life from a pack of walkers, as seen on the season 2 finale of “The Walking Dead.”
Michonne’s foreboding looks in a cape with a hood covering most of her face was bad enough for the fright meter, couple this in with the two armless walkers she had on leases and chained to her, this lady made one scary entrance to “The Walking Dead.”
Up until now, the characters have all been everyday people; the most bizarre out of them all was Merle, who is a badass at heart and a product of one horrific upbringing. No one resembles a super hero like the new character Michonne, but she’s just a regular person at heart, as her backstory is told in April’s issue of Playboy, according to Zap 2 It. The six page comic book insert shows Michonne’s journey of how she got to this point. The April issue is available on the racks starting today.
Michonne was terrified of walkers and saw her boyfriend and best friend meet their horrific demise at the hands of these walking dead zombies. Once a lawyer, like Andrea, Michonne was used to slicing and dicing in a corporate world, not in a world filled with dead and dangerous walkers.
Michonne’s past-time of fencing came in handy for swiping off the heads of walkers with a real sword. While Michonne looks like she could be a villain when she’s first seen standing over Andrea, who’s jaw drops at the mere look of this woman, she will turn out to be one of the best allies the group could ask for when season 3 continues.
Connecticut fans of “The Walking Dead” can watch the finale of season 2, along with all the other episodes from that season on Connecticut’s Comcast Xfinity “On-Demand.” The episodes are available all this month.
