There’s rain in the forecast for Rego Park and Central Queens this weekend, but there is plenty to do indoors. The new hot movie, “The Hunger Games” had its premiere Thursday night, and the fever continues. You can also bring the human kids, or even the four-legged, furry member of the family to the Queens Center Mall to be photographed with the Easter Bunny.
“The Hunger Games” is showing at the Midway Theater with more than 20 showtimes this weekend, including late night showings at 12:10am, 12:30am, and 12:50am. The Midway Theater is at 108-22 Queens Boulevard in Forest Hills. This movie is also showing at the Regal Atlas Park Cinemas Stadium 8 in Glendale at 80-20 Cooper Avenue. If “The Hunger Games” is not your choice, other popular movies in the neighborhood are “21 Jump Street”, “A Thousand Words” and “John Carter”.
On Sunday, March 25 take advantage of a unique opportunity to hop on over to the Queens Center mall with your leashed domestic pet, and have a picture taken of your four-legged pal and the Easter Bunny. This special event will take place from 6:30pm to 8:30pm on level three in the J.C. Penney wing.
And, during all other mall hours, the Easter Bunny will be on level 3 in the J.C. Penney wing until April 7 for pictures with your child. Monday March 28 is the last day to take advantage of $3.00 off a photo package.
