The three expansions are: Close Quarters, Armored Kill and End Game. These packs will be coming out June, Fall and Winter respectively
The first of the three expansion packs is Battlefield 3: Close Quarters. This expansion pack is a themed expansion that is said to be bringing the normally wide open gameplay of Battlefield 3 to tight indoor environments. EA describes this by saying “The frantic close quarters infantry combat showcases the wide spectrum of battles that only Battlefield 3 can deliver.” This expansion pack also includes a handful of new weapons to shoot the enemy with. Included in this pack are the ACW-R carbine, M5K machine pistol, L86LSW machine gun, M417 sniper rifle, and as others. Also included in this pack are four new maps, 10 new assignments and 5 unique dog tags. This expansion will be coming out in June with PS3 owners getting it a week early and it will cost $15(1200 Microsoft Points)
The second expansion that was announced is Battlefield 3: Armored Kill. While Close Quarters focused on tight indoor combat Armored Kill is going as opposite as you can get. Armored Kill will focus on vehicle combat. Armored Kill is said to “up the ante” for vehicle combat and mayhem is ways that only Battlefield is capable of. Details on this expansion are scarce, but it did come out that this expansion will include the biggest map in Battlefield history, which should be great for the new vehicles that they saying that they are going to add.
