With the premiere of “Southern Nights” just ahead on CMT, many fans are wondering what happened with Season 2 final couple Tribble Reese and Tristan Smith. The two seemed to still be together for a bit after the show, but the romance never seemed to really flourish after the finale. Fans are thrilled to see Paige and Jeremiah from Season 3 are very much together, but that leaves them that much more curious about Tribble and Tristan. Thursday CMT shared a new video clip with Tristan talking about what happened with Tribble.
Tristan says that she and Tribble did have feelings for one another, but things just were very different on the show versus in real life after taping. She says she didn’t get to know the simple things about him or see how he was around his family and friends while they were taping the show. After the show, the two lived far apart as he was in Atlanta and she was in school in Alabama, and it just became too difficult to make things work.
Smith says they tried to make it work, but at the end of the day they just weren’t meant to be together. She does say, however, that they remain good friends. Fans adored Tristan Smith on “Sweet Home Alabama,” and they are glad to see she will be back on CMT with the show “Southern Nights.” Tristan will join nine other SHA alumni as they live together in Savannah, GA. Will there be any romance between the house guests? Will there be drama? Tune in Saturday nights beginning April 7 to see what happens.
