Today, Ubisoft shot out a press release talking about an upcoming free-to-play online game called Silent Hunter Online.
According to the statement, it will be a browser-based multiplayer game that comes off the heels of the submarine title that preceded this one (Silent Hunter V).
This game will also be a submarine type game that is set in an ever-changing world that utilizes Adobe Flash Player 11’s technology as the canvas for the action.
The title is centered around “The Battle of the Atlantic.” Silent Hunter will provide a new style that allows gamers to achieve their own successes, and in turn, those results will impact the experiences of other players.
In addition to the asymmetric gameplay, people will be able to mow through campaign missions will friends in the newly playable co-op mode.

Silent Hunter Online has not yet been tagged with a release date but gamers can expect it out sometime during the third quarter of 2012.
