WARNING: if you haven’t watched last week’s episode and don’t want spoilers, we recommend you stop reading now.
Doomsday is here—or rather the season finale of ‘The Walking Dead’. Last Sunday fans were shocked to see Rick making the toughest decision he’s ever had to make, Carl making his first walker kill, and Shane getting the bullet. The episode was one of the most intense so far in the series and—well—tonight’s episode just might top it! Tonight’s episode is titled: “Beside The Dying Fire.” It is the 213th episode of the series and the last one for this Season. It’s expected to be one of the best scenes thus far in the series and will cause some emotional stress—might want to keep those tissues handy. Not convinced? Here are five reasons you should be watching.
1. Little Carl creeps us out a little bit.
But, we like it. Carl has been acting up the last few weekends. (Can you blame him though? His only friend was turned into a zombie.) Playing with zombies, taking guns that aren’t his, lurking inside the barn when daddy’s not looking, and holy smokes taking out zombie Shane! Seriously, who is watching this kid? Something tells us Carl is not just going to be sitting out in this zombie fight.
Episode Prediction: Once again Carl goes missing during the fight. Carl gets someone killed. Carl saves the day with his newly found shooting skills.
2. Zombies, zombies, and—oh yeah—more zombies.
Why does it seem like no one in ‘The Walking Dead‘ ever notices the hoard of zombies in the background? You’ve got to be able to hear the moans and grunts from at least a few feet away right? Well the hoard of zombies—who were seen coming up the grassy hill last episode—are looking pretty hungry and determined. It will be interesting to see how the thirteen survivors get out of this mess—without Shane. Maybe some of the charcters we haven’t seen in awhile like T-Dog or even Glenn swoop in for the kill to save the day. Maybe our favorite zombie tracker Daryl Dixon gets the group out. He could use a few more zombie accessories.
Episode Prediction: Zombies are killed?
3. Rick has some explaining to do. (This will be fun to watch.)
Not only does Rick have to explain to his son what exactly happened to Shane before he turned into a zombie—he has to explain to the whole group what happened to Shane. Boy, no matter how bad we want to apart of a zombie apocalypse we so wouldn’t want to switch places with Rick. I mean the guys got a lot on his plate. Pregnant wife, a group to control, a son to raise amongst zombies, and the list goes on! Maybe with Shane out of the picture he’ll have more time to show us his true leadership skills.
Episode Prediction: He somehow gets everyone out alive and they all forgive him for what he did….or not.
4. Looks like ‘The Walking Dead’ survivors are getting evicted.
Ok, seriously how long has it been since Herschel’s paid his rent? Not the right time to ask silly questions? Ok, moving on. Can we just say that even if the farmhouse is getting overrun by zombies tonight that we would love a new scene? I mean ‘Walking Dead’ fans can only take so much zombie cattle. So, new surroundings should be expected for the group. Hmmm, Florida sounds like a nice place to settle down.
Episode Prediction: We just hope they don’t run into that creepy group on the side of the road that prisoner kept talking about. That would be bad.
5. It’s the season finale of ‘THE WALKING DEAD’. It’s always an intense ride.
Seriously, after all that crazy St. Patrick’s Day celebration the night before it’s always nice to just stay in and watch zombies and humans at it. If you’re still unsure for whatever reason, just check out the sneak peek for tonight’s episode. If that doesn’t get you excited for tonight’s episode, perhaps the announcement the creators have in store for viewers at the end of the show will. Maybe they’re bringing back Shane from the dead—again.
The Walking Dead Season Finale begins at 9/8c on AMC channel.
