Friday was another unseasonably warm and humid day across Tampa Bay. Skies around the area were partly cloudy, and precipitation coverage was minimal. After morning lows that ranged from 63 degrees at MacDill Air Force Base to 71 degrees in St. Petersburg, highs across Tampa Bay topped out in the middle 80s. With dew point temperatures in the lower to middle 60s, heat index readings at mid-afternoon climbed as high as the upper 80s.
Rugby Day weather for Saturday
Saturday is the day the Tampa Bay Krewe will host its game against the Naples Hammerheads at the University of South Florida Track and Field Stadium. Conditions for the match will be more typical of early May than the end of March. After morning lows in the area of 65 to 72 degrees, afternoon temperatures around the kickoff time of 2 PM will be in the middle 80s. Around the rest of the Tampa Bay Area, high temperatures will range from 82 to 88 degrees. Skies will be partly sunny to mostly cloudy.
