It should come as no surprise that March 2012 was much warmer and wetter than average in Dallas. In fact, the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex saw its 3rd warmest and 9th rainiest March on record this year.
The average high temperature was 73.9 degrees with the average low at 54.6. This makes for a monthly average temperature of 64.3 degrees, compared to a 30-year average of 57.6 degrees.
Only March 1907 and March 1910 were warmer.
The month was also much wetter than average with heavy rainfall events March 10-11 and again March 19-20.

The normal March rainfall is 3.49”, making March 2012 the 9th wettest on record.
The outlook for April and May is for drier weather than we saw in March with continued warmer than average conditions.
