Previously we discussed where the tradition of eating ham on Easter came from and showed that regardless of where it came from, God instructed His people not to eat pork or pork products.
Do you realize all of the clean animals that God said we could eat exist only on vegetation? Their food digests much slower and more effectively and consequently they aren’t storing all these wastes and toxins in their body.
An example that this examiner can recite is from a friend who drove a truck carrying hogs from the slaughter house to the butcher. By the time he arrived at his destination, the bottom of the truck was covered with worms that had worked their way out of the flesh of the hogs as their carcasses were swinging back and forth from the hooks they were hooked to. He had to pour coffee grounds all over the floor of his truck each time to soak up the putrid smell that they left behind even after scrubbing down the floor!
- “But according to “The Good Book Cookbook,” which offers recipes suggested by the Bible – even if not actually in it – the ham and lamb traditions of Easter go back to the springtime dining customs of the ancient Romans.”
- 2Kings 17:15:“And they rejected His statutes and His covenant that He had made with their fathers, and His testimonies which He had testified against them; they followed idols, became idolaters, and [went] after the nations who [were] all around them, [concerning] whom the LORD had charged them that they should not do like them.”

- Isaiah 65: 2-4: “I have stretched out My hands all day long to a rebellious people, Who walk in a way [that is] not good, According to their own thoughts; Who sit among the graves, And spend the night in the tombs; Who eat swine’s flesh, And the broth of abominable things is [in] their vessels;”
When we use human reasoning and traditions of men in our worship of God, we don’t worship Him according to the way He wants to be worshiped! When we worship God we must worship Him in Spirit and Truth!
John 4:23:“But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.
