The Cherry Alliance on Alcohol and Drug Abuse and S.C.O.P.E. is sponsoring a speaking event with John Halligan on Bullying, Cyber Bulling and Teenage Depression.
Mr. Halligan’s son died by suicide, at the age of 13, after being bullied by classmate at school and online. Since his son’s death Mr. Halligan has told his story to students and parents in over 650 schools since 2005. He has appeared on Oprah, CNN, Anderson Cooper 360, Good Morning America, and many other programs.
Mr. Halligan has been instrumental in developing the Vermont Bully Prevention bill (which was signed into law) and also led the passage of the law pertaining to mandatory suicide prevention education in public schools April 2006.
His workshop address lessons learned too late for his family on how to deal with bullying, cyber bullying, and teenage depression.
This is a FREE event.
