This years Writers’ Jubilee on Saturday, April 28th, 2012, will mark the 20th year of this event. The tradition of mini workshops about various types of writing techniques and styles and meetings with published authors will be once again held at the Edward R. Andrew Elementary School in Morrisville.
The jubilee, which runs from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., is aimed at writers from third grade to adults. This year approximately 30 presenters, consisting of authors, illustrators, news reporters, poets, publishers and composers will be in attendance.
The keynote speaker will be Matthew McElligott, an author and illustrator from Selkirk, and a professor of illustration and graphic design at the Sage College of Albany.
Other presenters include well-known news reporter and newly published author, Christie Casciano and former Madison County Historian Mary E. Messere.
Messere AKA as Back Street Mary will be giving a multi-media presentation on her new business History Star Productions. The company features a website –www.historystarproductions.com- with written history, pictorial history and a video tour of different sites geared to encouraging historic tourism in upstate New York.
Andrews Elementary School is located at 57 Eaton Street in Morrisville, and the Jubilee starts with registration at 9:15 a.m. Workshops are gear from children to adults.
