If you were watching the Yankee game last night on YES, you saw a sad moment in a little boy’s young life.
The boy was seated on his father’s lap in a First Base Box seat, when Rangers first baseman Mitch Moreland tossed a ball into the stands in the top of the eighth inning of Texas’ game with the New York Yankees.
Instead, a man seated next to him grabbed the ball! And turned handing the ball to his female companion. Meantime, the boy in the next seat was crying his eyes out!
Making the situation worse, the ‘ball grabber’ snapped a cell phone photo of the woman posing with the ball….with the little boy still crying.
“Wow, they’re actually rubbing it in the kid’s face. So cold” said YES announcer Michael Kay.
Kay also called the couple “greedy” and “oblivious” for failing to acknowledge the wants of the child that doesn’t belong to them.
The story did end well as someone from the Rangers organization tossed the kid a ball later.
